Our Story
My mission is to offer a hospital gown that will bring cheer to the woman
who wants to look her best, at a time when every little boost means
the most.
I grew up in the world of tailoring in New Orleans. For over 50 years, my grandparents and parents made costumes for Mardi Gras Krewes, who rode the floats in Mardi Gras parades, including the most prestigious, Rex and Bacchus. My grandmother was a professional dressmaker. Although I am not a seamstress myself, I spent my youth in the workroom where I learned the importance of creating an excellent garment.
During the past few years, I lost my father to ALS "Lou Gehrig's Disease" and
then my mother to heart disease and diabetes. My husband and I also
lost a dear friend to cancer. During their illness, it bothered
me to see them wearing old, faded hospital gowns day in and day out.
These gowns simply did not reflect their special beauty and individuality.
I decided then to create a hospital gown that looks and feels as great
as a fine pajama or nightgown.
